For some reason, I’ve been feeling more and more like listening to music in a minor key, apparently. What with the (all but) death of Hitz 94, and the direction that noncoms lean in this area, there’s not a whole lot on the radio.
My answer: if you can’t find anything good on the radio, put something there. So I’ve been coming up with various playlists every night, and have been sticking them on air while I fall asleep. (I have a small FM transmitter, like one you’d plug into an iPod or cd player.)
For a while, I’d been feeding the transmitter the WUVT stream, but every time I kept tuning in, it was automation, and I began hearing the same stuff over and over again, so I said screw it, and right now I’m listening to a station on Pandora that I created by feeding it the song title “Blue Monday” (by New Order) and then approving/disproving its recommendations from there. It’s to the point where I don’t want to turn it off and go to sleep
